You’re Probably Spending Too Much on Coffee

Coffee drinkers - if you're buying two coffees a day from coffee shops instead of just making it at home, you're blowing a lot of money!

According to a new survey, the average coffee drinker has 2.1 cups of coffee a day. The average price of a cup of coffee this year, NOT MADE AT HOME, is $3.28, up from $3.05 last year. If you do a little math, that means you are spending about $2,394.40 a year JUST on coffee! And that's probably not including all those foofy Starbucks drinks that some of us love so much. Only about half of people are doing that, though. 43% of people save money by making their coffee at work or at home.

But, I totally understand the concept of splurging on things you love! For some people it's coffee, for me it's going out to eat. I could very well make a salad for lunch at home, but that doesn't stop me from going to the restaurant downstairs and getting one there!
