More than $343 million dollars! That's how much money was won last night by a winning ticket purchased in central Iowa for the $687.8 million Powerball jackpot. The other winning ticket was sold in West Harlem, New York.

The two winners each claim $343.9 million, annuitized. The cash payout for each is $198.1 million, according to CNN. The $687.8 million Powerball jackpot was the fourth largest in the game's history. In January of 2016, a $1.586 billion jackpot, the largest ever, was split between three winners.

The winning numbers drawn Saturday night were 8, 12, 13, 19, 27. The Powerball was 4.
How many total people were involved in the purchase of last night's two winning Powerball tickets is unknown. I don't think it really matters as, even if it involves large groups of people, they won a whole lotta cash. The winning ticket sold in Iowa was purchased at a Casey's General Store in Redfield, a town approximately 35 miles west of Des Moines, according to U.S. News.
Hopefully, you, or someone you know really well, is holding that special ticket.
