Wind Chill Warning Makes For A Dangerous Weather Situation

A windchill warning is in effect for eastern Iowa through tomorrow morning.  Schools have cancelled classes because of the cold.  This isn't just a cold snap.  These weather conditions are down right dangerous.  Frostbite can happen in a matter of 10 to 15 minutes if you're caught outside in these weather conditions.

It doesn't take much wind to create dangerous wind chill when the temps are this cold.  Today, we could have wind gusts of up to 30 mph.  At a temperature of -2, that would produce a wind chill of around -30!  Frostbite can happen in less than 10 minutes.  If you don't have to venture out today, stay warm and inside!
