It's Tuesday, so Luke Bryan's new album "Kill the Lights" is released today, right? After all, albums have always been released on Tuesday. Nope, you'll have to wait until Friday and here's why.

Music piracy has become an issue at times in recent years as different countries made albums available on different days. You can thank the internet for that, obviously. The move to releases on Friday by The International Federation of the Phonographic Industry puts on-sale dates the same all over the world. They also did research with consumers and that showed that the music buyer is more likely to buy new music on Friday and Saturday.

So, there you have it. New albums started coming out on Friday's a few weeks ago, but there have been no blockbuster country releases until this week. So pre-buy online or watch for it in the stores, but you won't be able to crank up "Kill the Lights" until Friday. Knowing Luke Bryan, I bet it'll be worth the wait.
