If you're like me, you wondered why gasoline prices jumped 14 cents from Thursday night to Friday afternoon?

GasBuddy.com says prices have risen 16.7 cents per gallon in the past week, averaging $2.70 per gallon on Sunday.

Refinery issues were primarily the catalyst for the increase as some refineries were down because of maintenance and some repair work being done. However, lower prices will be coming back in the weeks ahead. With oil nearing $50 a barrell, there's a very good possibility that by mid-fall, gasoline prices could fall under $2/gallon.

Lovely... just in time for colder weather!
