Minnesota Vikings running back Adrian Peterson avoided jail time Tuesday.  He agreed to a plea deal in his child abuse case.  Peterson plead no contest to one count of misdemeanor reckless assault.  He'll pay a $4,000 fine, do 80 hours of community service and be placed on probation.  Peterson could have faced up to 2 years in prison under the original charges.  So now that the legal fight is over, when should AP play again?

If Peterson is to play again for the Vikings this year, he would first have to be reinstated by NFL commisioner Roger Goodell.  Goodell botched the Ray Rice case, and the NFL has had a rough year with negative stories like this in the spotlight.  Will the commish give Peterson more games off other than the 8 he's already missed?  Will the Vikings put him back on the field this year?

Reports from the Minnesota locker room show there is still lots of support for AP among Viking players.  But as a fan of the NFL, I honestly don't want to see him the rest of the year.  Sit out this season.  Re-evaluate your life, get things in order.  Go on your "I'm sorry" tour in the media.  Then start 2015 fresh.  Because right now, when I see Adrian Peterson, I see the things he did, not the football player.
