I've been to many Major League Baseball games in my life. Cubs, Cardinals, Brewers and Royals games to name just a few. I've never had the pleasure of catching a foul ball. I've been close a couple of times, but I've never managed to land one. I love seeing the videos of people making great one handed catches, or using an empty beer cup to make a play. But yesterday at Wrigley Field, one fan went too far.

There are 2 major things wrong with this video. Let me address the big one first. Why on earth do you have your infant son with you at a baseball game? If he's old enough to still be bottle fed, he needs to be at home. I've never understood taking a baby that young to any pro sporting event. Are you that big of a fan that you just had to go? Did this dad say to himself, "I don't care if the sitter cancelled, I'm going anyway!" You are putting your child in harm's way! Secondly, the fan reached into the field of play and interfered with the player trying to make a catch. Fortunately, the umpires got the call right and called the batter out due to fan interference. Too bad they didn't tell him to go home. I'm pretty sure Wrigley Field doesn't have diaper changing stations in their restrooms.
