There are foods that everyone in the U.S. can agree on.  Hamburgers, ice cream, anything deep fat fried or covered in gravy.  And then there are food favorites that will vary by region.  The website Yelp looked at all of the restaurants in it's database and found what foods are disproportionately popular in each state.  Some of the results wont' shock you.  Cajun food is more popular in Louisiana.  Hawaiian food is more popular in...you guessed it...Hawaii.  People in Texas love Tex-Mex.

But some others make you scratch your head.  In Alaska?  It's Filipino food.  Ohio loves soup.  Yes, soup.  West Virginia loves hot dogs, but hey, who doesn't.  And finally, Iowa.  We love buffets.  Endless piles of food for as far as the eye can see.  Minnesotans are in the same boat.  What does it all mean?  I'm not sure.  But you better get out of my way....there's a new tray of fried chicken on the buffet.
