What Makes Iowa Great – Town Celebrations

Summer is here and so is the Town Celebrations. This is one of the things that makes Iowa Great!!! I have friends in other states and they don't understand this. They ask... "The whole town comes out and celebrates?" I told them that not only does the town celebrate, but so do others from other cities come and celebrate.

This weekend is Center Point Pork Days. It started Thursday night and goes through Saturday Evening. Below is a list of events for Saturday.

8:00 AM Annual 5K Fun Run, Fross Park

8:00 AM Adult Softball Tournament, Fross Park

11:00 AM Kiddie Tractor Pull

Noon—Close Boy Scouts Food Booth, American Legion Pavilion

3:00 PM Hot Dog Eating Contest
