What a Difference Two Years Can Make

Cedar Rapids expects a high in the lower 50's today with tonight's low dipping only a few degrees. Compare that to what was happening just two years ago and you'll be THRILLED it's 2015.

Two years ago this week I bought a new battery for my truck in preparation for the extreme cold that was forecast for the morning of December 12. That morning, we plummeted to 11 degrees below zero... some 54 degrees colder than it should be tonight. The coldest temperature in the forecast for Cedar Rapids in the next week is 23 degrees next Wednesday night. Thank you, El Nino.
