Weekend Detour At I-380 And Highway 30 Interchange

Get ready for delays and a detour at the I-380 and highway 30 interchange this weekend. The access ramp from westbound 30 to northbound I-380 will be closed this weekend as crews make repairs on an i-380 bridge.

The closure goes into effect at 8 p.m. Friday night and lasts through 6 a.m. Monday morning. Traffic on westbound 30 will be detoured to Highway 13, then to Highway 100, and then back to I-380. The Iowa Department of Transportation is urging motorists to find an alternate route.

Crews are repairing the interstate bridge where motorists spotted eroding concrete and exposed steel. The project will take at least 2 more closures. Those times have not yet been announced.
