Waypoint in Cedar Rapids gives back to the community every year in a HUGE way. They've been helping families here in Eastern Iowa for over 120 years. It's now time for us to help them.

Waypoint Wonderland is a celebration that provides holiday gifts to families who are experiencing poverty, domestic violence or have no home at all. Last year, Waypoint provided gifts to over 500 children in need.

According to CBS2, "This year Waypoint is facing the lowest donation numbers they have ever seen." They need our help but time is not on our side...we need to act fast.

The deadline to drop off unwrapped gifts is Thursday, December 13th by 5 p.m. For a list of what's needed, please visit this link. If we can all chip in a gift or two it will help Waypoint get to their goal.

I called Waypoint and they told me they really need unwrapped gifts for children ages 0-3 and 7-12. They also need stocking stuffers and batteries. Why batteries you ask? Some of the gift items they already have need batteries. They want the child to be able to play with the toy right when they open it on Christmas morning.

Waypoint is located at 318 5th Street SE in Cedar Rapids. For more information, please call 319-365-1458.
