A waitress at a favored restaurant in Des Moines closed a tab Tuesday night only to find no tip and a nasty note. Zombie Burger waitress, Taelor Beeck, says that at first she was upset and felt like she was being bullied. The note brought her back to some unfavorable times in middle school. Not to mention, it brought up some understandable anger.

The total of the bill was $17.26 and the total of the tip was a whopping $0.00. And that's not counting the lovely note they left which read, "Tips are only for normal looking people."

Despite Beeck's anger after reading the message, she took the high road.

I didn't act on it because it's not worth it when someone puts hate out there, you know to respond in a hateful way will do no good," Beeck told WhoTV.

This is honorable, considering Beeck relies on tips to pay her bills.

She isn't letting the haters get her down either. She loves her style and considers herself an individual. She takes pride in expressing herself artistically and feels that it's important that she's able to do so.

It also helps that her employer stands behind her 100%. The parent company for Zombie Burger, Orchestrate Hospitality, released this statement, in part, to WhoTV regarding the situation:

We believe that zombie burger is a place that celebrates individuality. We stand by our staff. We also believe that our customers enjoy zombie burger because it is a wonderfully unique place and that includes the team members. We are in 100% support of our staff. And we’re confident that our customers will be as well. She is an example of a great team member and we are standing by her."

When a WhoTV reporter asked Beeck what she would say to the customer who wrote the note, she only had this to say.

I would tell them to not judge someone based on what they look like. I mean, I may look like a weirdo but I'm actually a very nice, decent person."

Yes, you are Taelor! According to other Zombie Burger employees, Beeck is one of the best.
