Vandals Damage Herky Statue

The Herky on Parade campaign was recently unveiled across the corridor.  You may have already seen one of them in your travels, especially in the Iowa City, Coralville area.  But today, the University of Iowa announced that one of them had been damaged.  This was the statement from the Herky on Parade facebook page.

 Sad to report that Reflections of U Herky was destroyed last night by vandalism. We expected some of this (like in 2004) and already have a plan going to bring him back to his shiny self. We are also working with authorities to find/prosecute the culprit(s).

The fact that the vandalism took place on the University of Iowa campus, makes the situation even sadder.  Here's hoping the Reflection of U Herky is restored and better than ever soon!  Click HERE for information and the locations of all the Herky on Parade statues!
