Valentines for Vets Time has Arrived

It's time to get creative... KHAK's annual Valentines for Vets campaign is here!

A tradition we look forward to every single year, it's a chance to say thank you to hospitalized veterans at the V.A. Hospital in Iowa City. Teachers, we'd love to have your classroom make valentines. The same goes for church groups, families, and individuals too, of course! Please deliver them to the KHAK studios by the close-of-business on Monday, February 8. Brain & Courtlin will then deliver them to veterans at the V.A. Hospital before Valentine’s Day.

There are a just few things to keep in mind when making the valentines:
Please do not use glitter as they can cause a mess in the hospital. Also, we ask that only your first or last name (not both) are written on the valentines. Finally, please do not include candy.

You can also drop them off at the floral department of the Mt. Vernon Road Hy-Vee in Cedar Rapids (4035 Mt Vernon Rd SE) or the floral department of the Edgewood Road Hy-Vee in Cedar Rapids (5050 Edgewood Road NE).
