One week after the official start of spring, two Cedar Rapids golf courses are set to open for the 2014 season.  Temperatures are expected to top out around 50 degrees tomorrow (Thursday), the day that Cedar Rapids opens its 95th year of municipal golf at Twin Pines and Gardner Golf Courses. The courses will open for the season at 10 a.m. and remain open until dusk. The Gardner Driving Range will also open at 10. Twin Pines Driving Range will be open as conditions allow.  Play may be restricted in the mornings due to potential frost delays during the first few weeks of spring. Call ahead to Gardner Clubhouse (319) 286-5586, or to Twin Pines Clubhouse (319) 286-5583, for course and practice conditions. Season passes may be purchased at the golf courses or online at www.playcedarrapidsgolf.com.
