Spring is in the air! Well, almost. We haven't quite got the full feeling of spring just yet, but there's no reason to hold off prepping for it now. Get ahead of the game, so you can sit back and relax for the warm season.

    Deep Clean EVERYTHING Inside

There's a reason it's called "spring cleaning". You just have to spring into it and give E-V-E-R-Y-T-H-I-N-G a thorough cleaning. First off, get rid of things to make it less for you to clean. Going through your closet and getting rid of old clothes is a perfect place to start. You can do this with old furniture, electronics, etc. Heck, you could even have a garage sale and make some money off of it! Once you've lessened your load, it's time to start scrubbing. Every room of the house should be cleaned from floor to ceiling, especially the kitchen. Throw out expired food in the fridge and wipe down all of the grime that has built up in your ice box over the past few months (or even years). You'll also want to wipe down those windows, so you can open them up and let all that fresh spring air in.

    Switch the Bedding

Winter is over. There's no longer a need for all of those heavy comforters and wool sheets. Switch to something a little more breezy that you're not going to sweat in all night. This is also the perfect time to switch up color schemes and decorations to give your room a fresh new look.

    Replace Detector Batteries

We tend to forget about those little circular devices that are stuck to all of our ceilings. The thing is, these little guys could save your life one day! You should be changing the batteries in your smoke and carbon monoxide detectors at least once a year, so you might as well do it while you're getting everything else ready for spring.

    Clean Outside of House

Now that you've got all of the cleaning done inside, it's time to get to work on the outside. The outside of your home needs love too! Breaking out a power washer and spraying the gunk off of the siding or deck will surely make your home shine again. And while you're out there, go ahead and clean all of the leaves and debris out of the gutters too! This will make way for all of that cool spring rain. Organize the garage to make it an enjoyable space, since you'll be spending more time outside. Lastly, scrape off that grill and wipe down your patio furniture, if you have it. You'll have plenty instances where friends and family come over for a relaxing night of chilling and grilling.

    Plant Flowers

Now that everything is clean and in order, it's time for that final touch. Plant some nice flowers, greenery, or even a garden around your yard to give your home that extra oomph! The pops of color will cheer up your lawn after a gloomy winter.
