Tonight’s Jackpot Is 3rd Highest In History

There's no question in my mind that it's bedlam at lottery retailers around Iowa this afternoon, along with every other state that plays Powerball. Tonight's jackpot was raised earlier today to a half-billion dollars. Five-hundred million. Wowza! It's the 3rd-highest jackpot in Powerball history and the highest since August of 2013.

As is always the case, promises are made when the jackpot gets this high. Here's one of the more unique ones I've ever seen.

Meanwhile, Ellen is apparently collecting cash. Funny lady.

I'll take the honest approach. If I win tonight, I'm not giving you a penny. Then again, you have nothing to worry about, because I'm not buying any tickets. After all, what could be better than the gig I've already got?
