The list of superstars set to pay tribute to country legend Merle Haggard keeps getting bigger. Toby Keith and Alabama, along with Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top, are set to perform at the 2017 tribute show Sing Me Back Home: The Music Of Merle Haggard.

The A-list acts join previously announced country stars Kenny Chesney, Miranda Lambert, Loretta Lynn, Dierks Bentley, Hank Williams, Jr., Alison Krauss, Kacey Musgraves and many more, along with several artists from other genres of music including John Mellencamp, Lynyrd Skynyrd and the Avett Brothers, who will all take the stage in honor of the late singer on April 6 at Nashville's Bridgestone Arena.

Country Stars Remember Merle Haggard

Haggard's longtime friend and fellow legend Willie Nelson will also perform at the tribute, which he's co-hosting along with Haggard's family.

The concert takes place on what would've been Haggard's 80th birthday and marks one year to the day since his death. Haggard's wife Theresa, along with Keith Wortman and Mark Rothbaum, are creating the show. "I am so very thankful for this tribute to my husband, Merle Haggard. Please come join me and my family at this fantastic show that Merle would be so proud of," Theresa says in a press release.

“I am honored to produce a show that celebrates the life and music of Merle Haggard,” says Wortman. “His music and lyrics continue to shape the lives of musicians and millions of fans. I can't think of any better way to celebrate his 80th birthday than to honor his legacy with this extraordinary event. It’s going to be an unforgettable evening.”

The all-star event will be recorded and broadcast at a later date. A limited number of tickets are available for purchase on Ticketmaster.
