In case you missed it, last week The Cedar Valley Humane Society rescued almost 1,000 animals from a home in Vinton. Many of the rescued animals were found to be malnourished and dehydrated, with some discovered to have had illegal surgery performed on them (to read more on the original story, click HERE). The Cedar Valley Humane Society took in the majority of these animals, and according to CBS 2, many of them are on the road to recovery!

Unfortunately, the number of animals being cared for by the Cedar Valley Humane Society has grown since last week's rescue. They took in about 900 animals, but now they're close to 1,200 because some of the animals have given birth. The CVHS has received a huge outpouring of support from the community, but they are still in need of cash donations to help with these animals.
