Yes, you read that right. For the first time in nearly 100 years, stamp prices are going down this Sunday.

The price of a stamp went from 46 to 49 cents in 2013, to help the postal service with declining revenues. Did you know it was always supposed to be temporary? We didn't either. When would prices go back down? When the postal service collected $4.6 billion from the increase. That should happen this Sunday, April 10.

The price of a stamp will drop two cents, to 47 cents on Sunday. It will be the first time stamp prices have dropped since 1919. How can a two-cent price drop make us so happy? It just does.

Here's a look at all of the upcoming price changes:

  • One-ounce letters                               49 to 47 cents
  • Letters (additional ounce)                   22 to 21 cents
  • International letters                             $1.20 to $1.15
  • Postcards                                            35 to 34 cents
