The Official Cedar Rapids Holiday Tree Has Been Unveiled [VIDEO]

Temperatures were hovering around 10 degrees this morning, with wind chills near zero, as Cedar Rapids Parks and Recreation Department staffers were putting the finishing touches on the official 2014 Cedar Rapids Holiday Tree. I stopped by to give you the first look. 

Cedar Rapids' Official Holiday Tree For 2014 is a beauty, a 25-foot Norway Spruce, donated by the Simoens family of Fox Court Northeast in Cedar Rapids. Watch the video above for details on the lighting of the tree and just how many LED's will be on it. Details on other holiday events here.
