I'll admit it. I'm getting a little better at taking selfies. I enjoy taking the occasional one with Holly or the kids. Courtlin and I try and take one at every event we're at together. I get it. It's what you 'do'. But a new study found that people born after 1980 will take 25,000 selfies in their lifetime! Whoa! I guess if you were born with a phone in your hand, you begin taking them early in life.

I was NOT born after 1980. I'm nearly 41 years old but I consider myself to be up to date on technology. But I just don't live on my phone the way some people do. I enjoy using it for things like Facebook, Snapchat and Periscope. But I'm not on it 24/7. And I certainly believe there are certain situations that you need to put the phone down! The same survey found that 47% of people thought it was OK to take a picture of themselves during childbirth. I admit that Holly and I had our picture taken shortly after the birth of all three of our kids so I get that one. But here are a couple I don't get. 30% think it's OK to snap a picture during sex. Really? Is the encounter so unmemorable that you need photographic proof it happened? And a stunning 20% think selfies are OK at funerals. Get out. Get out now.

I like taking pictures with my phone. I even enjoy the occasional selfie. But I don't need to see a picture of you being romantic, or standing next to a casket. In the battle for attention on social media, remember to exhibit a little decency.
