When it comes to Marvel movies, it's safe to say that I'm a huge fan. In fact, I think there are only two or three movies that I haven't seen yet. This weekend was opening weekend for Thor:Ragnarok, and the early reviews said that it was the funniest out of all the Marvel movies, so I obviously had to go see for myself. I would definitely say that it's right up there with Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2!

(By the way, this post is going to be as spoiler-free as possible. No big plot points will be revealed, I promise!)

Let's start with the cast. There were a lot of really great actors and actresses in the movie (including a fun surprise appearance), but in my opinion, the two funniest people in Thor: Ragnarok were characters that had slightly smaller roles. I absolutely loved Korg, a giant man made of rocks voiced by Taika Waititi, and the Grandmaster, who was played by Jeff Goldblum. The thing is, pretty much every character had at least one funny moment - even the villains! And speaking of villains, Cate Blanchett made a hella good Hela. For me, the mark of a good villain is someone that legitimately makes me feel angry. Towards the end of the movie, Cate had a couple of lines that made me clench my teeth because she got me so fired up. She was FANTASTIC.

Another thing I really enjoyed about the movie is that it wasn't all about Thor. Hulk/Bruce Banner, played by Mark Ruffalo, had a really cool storyline, and it will be interesting to see what path Marvel takes him down in the next few movies. I also loved Valkyrie, played by Tessa Thompson. She was a total bad ass female character, in addition to being hilarious. And don't even get me started on Loki. Tom Hiddleston gets more and more likable every movie (even though he's still kind of a jerk). After this new movie, I might be a little bit in love with him. Chris Hemsworth is still my number one, though, even with short hair.

Overall, I thoroughly enjoyed Thor: Ragnarok. It was easily the best out of all the Thor movies. There was never a moment where I was confused, or thought something was too cheesy, or that I felt the movie was moving too slow. I even refused to go to the bathroom until it was over, and that's the mark of a great movie to me. By the way, if you do go see the movie, make sure you stay until the very, VERY end, because there are two after-credit scenes, not one.
