The Inaugural Tree Town Music Festival Will Be a Tough Act to Follow [VIDEO]
It was quite a weekend in Forest City, Iowa at the inaugural Tree Town Music Festival. The weather was perfect, and other than lots of dust because of an uncooperative spring for getting newly-seed grass to grow, the venue was perfect. As you know, Brad Paisley had to move up his Saturday performance, but that allowed the party to start even earlier for many.
Considering it was Memorial Day Weekend, the festival hit a total home run with their stage talent. Toby Keith has done more than 10 USO tours. Brantley Gilbert spent Monday morning at Arlington National Cemetery to honor the fallen. Brad Paisley made an unannounced visit to Afghanistan to play for the troops on the eve of Memorial Day.
Can organizers top it in 2015? They’ll certainly try and have already announced that next year’s event will be four days, instead of three. This announcement during Saturday’s show didn’t hurt, either:
Here’s a look back at the two days in Forest City. Thanks to my lovely wife Julie for taking all the pictures and videos below.
