The Best Movie Set In Iowa and Every State

A fascinating article was recently published by the website Thrillist, noting the most famous movie to be set in each state. Let me warn you, Iowa's may come as a COMPLETE shock, but we'll get to that later. Which films took the nod for other midwest states?

• Illinois: "The Fugitive".
• Indiana:  "Hoosiers"
• Kansas: "The Wizard of Oz"  
• Minnesota: "Fargo" (a city in North Dakota) was actually set in Minnesota. Misleading title, great movie.
• Missouri: "Meet Me in St. Louis"
• Nebraska: "Election".
• Wisconsin: "Bridesmaids" 

Lastly, the best film set in Iowa is "Field of Dreams", right? WRONG!  It's "The Music Man"! Huh?! It was based in the fake Iowa town of River City. It was modeled after Mason City. The movie won an Academy Award and was nominated for a total of six.
