I'm not going to come right out and say I'm 'fashionable', but as a man in his 40's I like to think that I don't embarrass myself with what I wear. So whenever a list comes out like the one I saw today, I pay close attention. BusinessInsider.com put out a list of 10 things that grown men shouldn't wear. I can happily say that I only wear one of the things on the list and I'm guessing a lot of other guys do too! So let's see what else we shouldn't be wearing.

  • Anything with flames on it.
  • Really wide ties. Even I know that skinny ties are in.
  • Tie-Dye shirts.
  • Cargo pants or cargo shorts. I have a problem with this one. I wear cargo shorts in the summer. A lot of guys do. Are we ALL wrong?
  • Jeans with a lot of embroidery on the back.
  • Belts with metal studs.
  • Shirts you'd ONLY wear to a club.
  • Fedoras. Leave them to the skinny hipsters.
  • Wearing sandals all the time....or with socks. Just stop it.
  • Anything with a huge Abercrombie and Fitch logo. It's not 1998, so stop dressing like it.

Other than the cargo shorts, I didn't commit any other faux pas. How did you do guys?
