Teenagers Survive Lightning Strike by Holding Hands

Go ahead and make your jokes. This teenage couple doesn't mind. Dylan and Lexie have heard all the 'sparks flying' relationship jokes there are. The simple fact is that they're both lucky to be alive. The teenage couple was walking hand in hand last week to grab a bite to eat. That's when they were struck by lightning. The bolt hit Dylan in the head, passed through his arm and into Lexie's body and then exited through her left foot. Both of them were thrown to the ground. They said it felt like someone hit them in the back of the head. They both got up, saw that they were OK and continued on the restaurant! They texted their parents about the ordeal who made them go to the emergency room. Other than a small mark on Lexie's foot, the two were amazingly fine. How did they survive? Holding hands diffused the current of the lightning so neither one of the them took the brunt of the strike. Lucky indeed.
