Cedar Rapids weather

Here we go again. The National Weather Service has issued a Blizzard Warning for the northwestern part of the area thru 3 o'clock tomorrow morning. There's also a Winter Weather Advisory for the I-380 corridor and beyond thru early Friday morning. Snow isn't the problem tonight.

If you found yourself complaining about the cold this morning and muttering things to yourself, you're not alone. I was doing the same thing, as undoubtedly were many other Eastern Iowans. It was a historically-cold morning in Cedar Rapids and other spots as well

The cold weather has arrived early in Eastern Iowa which begs the question,"How cold will it get?" No one can really answer that question, but we can tell you when it will likely be the coldest.

The rains came, heavy, in many areas last night.  That was unexpected.  Tonight was the night heavy rain was forecast.  Unfortunately, that hasn't changed.

I loved almost every single moment of July's weather in Cedar Rapids, and so did my air conditioner. The cool temperatures we experienced throughout the month were historic.
