A student at the brand new Liberty High School in North Liberty is facing a drug charge following two students being found unconscious on school property, according to CBS2/Fox28.

CBS2 reports that North Liberty police officers were called to the school on November 30 after a 15-year-old student was reported unconscious during the school day. While on-site, police discovered another unconscious 15-year-old.  Both students eventually regained consciousness and were released to their parents.

The students told police that they had purchased Xanax from another fellow classmate at the high school. That student has since been charged with a controlled substance violation.

The names of the students have not been released. CBS2/FOX28 is reporting that school officials are continuing to investigate the matter and are looking into potential discipline for the student seller.
