Steele’s First Taste Of Garth Brooks Was 20 Years Ago – And Included The Rock Band KISS

So we debuted a new song from Garth Brooks this morning. My first memories of Garth are probably different than most of yours.  I was in graduate school when the cd Kiss My A** came out.  It featured classic KISS songs "regrooved" by different artists.  One of those artists was a guy named Garth Brooks.  It was when Garth was HUGE in country, but unfortunately the country music world wasn't ready for such a progressive move by a country star.  "WHAT?  Playing a rock song by a country star??  Are you CRAZY??"  The song only peaked at #67 on the country charts.  But I LOVED it.

KISS performed the song with Garth both on the record and live.  Garth was a big KISS fan growing up and their work together on this song made me a fan of Garth.  Check out the video!
