Steele’s Deck Job Doesn’t Go As Planned AT ALL. More Work To Follow!

I watch A LOT of HGTV...probably too much. So when I decided to re-surface my deck, my confidence might've been a bit overinflated. They make things look so easy on TV. I powerwashed the deck and got it all prepared. I went out and bought the supplies ("deck over", rollers, brushes, trays) and I was ready to tackle this project.
All I wanted to do was resurface the floor of the deck and the railing. I chose the same color we used last time we did the deck and I was confident I would be able to crank this out while my wife was out of town over the weekend. "She'll come back to a nice, smooth, fresh looking deck", I thought.
I began with such passion, such excitement. About 25% of the way through, that passion and excitement turned first to fear, then anger, then desparation. "THE COLORS DON'T MATCH!" The new color - while deemed "Redwood" - was more RED than WOOD. I screamed inside. I couldn't stop...I had to continue...knowing that we would now have to re-do the ENTIRE deck and I would no way be finished by the end of the weekend. Will this put an end to my HGTV viewing? No! I must be a glutton for punishment.
