SaPaDaPaSo Parade 2016 [Gallery]

St. Patrick's Day is always one of the greatest days in downtown Cedar Rapids every year, no matter the weather. Today, the weather cooperated and the turnout for the 41st Annual SaPaDaPaSo Parade was again INCREDIBLE.

It's spring break for many school districts around Eastern Iowa and the crowd today showed it. Not in the numbers which are always huge, but in the number of kids. I bet kids outnumbered adults two to one along the parade route on a sunny, breezy St. Patrick's Day afternoon.

If you were there and swear you saw me behind the wheel of our sister station's KRNA vehicle, you were absolutely right. They needed a driver and I was happy to oblige. You'll also see another sister station, KDAT, below.
