Is the magic back for the Cardinals? St. Louis, which knows a thing or two about rally animals, had a new entrant last night at Busch Stadium. A rally kitten appeared following the first pitch of a sixth inning at bat for Redbirds catcher Yadier Molina. The bases were loaded at the time and what happened next was totally coincidental, right?

The St. Louis Cardinals are surging, having won five in a row to creep to within one-and-a-half games of first place Chicago in the National League Central division. The last time the Cardinals won the World Series was 2011... the same fall a rally squirrel appeared in St. Louis during the playoffs against the Philadelphia Phillies.

Clearly last night's development is very bad news for the Chicago Cubs. I'm only kidding of course. Or, am I? Who knows, there could be an entire litter of those magical felines.
