We may not be getting another blizzard this weekend (no complaints here) but that doesn't mean you can't have some winter fun!

According to their Facebook page, Snowstar Winter Park (south of the Quad Cities) is officially opening this Sunday, December 9. The park will be open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. with limited runs on the teaching hill. There will also be two lanes of tubing open!

It won't break the bank either! Lift Passes or tubing passes all day are just $20, and rental is $25. It could be even cheaper though when you help out a good cause. Attendees who donate to Toys For Tots can ski, snowboard or tube for just $10.

According to weather reports, Sunday will have ideal weather for a visit to the park: mostly sunny and a high of 33 degrees.

I've always wanted to learn to snowboard, but I've heard skiing is easier. Tubing is probably easiest though right? Do you have a preference?
