Last Saturday morning I sat at Kinnick Stadium in Iowa City, along with 42,000+ other wrestling fans, to watch a wrestling meet on a sunny, unseasonably warm day. Today, Iowa is digging out from one of the biggest November snowfalls in history.

Saturday, November 14 the high in Iowa City was 64 degrees, 13 degrees above normal. I sat in Kinnick in a t-shirt and sweatshirt. If I hadn't so badly not wanted to hold it, I could've taken the sweatshirt off. It was that warm. Yesterday morning as I left for work I couldn't help but notice our Knock Out roses were not only still blooming, there were buds still ready to pop out. Needless to say, we had to scurry to prep them for what was to come. And did it come...

As predicted, Iowa got walloped by the storm, especially to the north. The "winner" in the state of Iowa from the mid-November storm is George. The small town in Lyon county in the extreme northwest corner of Iowa received 17 inches of snow. Here are the top 10 snowfall totals across the state and what cities in the listening area received:
