Iowa ran into an actual college basketball team Thursday night in Iowa City. Seton Hall is from the basketball rich Big East, and the Hawks got a taste of good competition at Carver Hawkeye Arena. Seton Hall pulled away from Iowa in the second half for a 91-83 win.

There were bright spots for the Hawks. Senior shooting guard Peter Jok had 30 points as he tried to keep the Hawks in the game for much of the second half. 4-star freshman  brought his 'A' game Thursday night, scoring a career-high 24 points. Check out this slam dunk that had Carver rocking!

The bottom line was that Seton Hall had more experience than Iowa. At times, Jok was on the court with several players who last year were playing high school basketball. Not that they won't develop and prove themselves as the year goes on, but righ now, Iowa is pretty green.

The Hawks will host the University of Texas Rio Grande Sunday.
