Officials are investigating an accident in which a semi collided with a house, setting the home on fire. The Linn County Sheriff's Office says that the truck driver lost control of the semi and crashed into a house at 1551 County Home Road on Monday evening. The collision between the truck and house knocked the home off its foundation.

After colliding with the home, the semi burst into flames, setting the house on fire as well. The driver of the semi was identified as 70-year-old James Ward of Center Junction. He escaped with only minor injuries. The owner of the home, Rodney Peyton, was outside of the home at the time of the accident. The renter of the home, Michelle Burke, was also outside the structure. Neither were injured.

Linn County Sheriff's officials say that Ward was cited for the accident and released from the scene.
