KHAK’s annual Valentines for Vets campaign is here! It's a simple way to have some fun and even more importantly, say thank you to eastern Iowa's hospitalized veterans as Valentines Day approaches. Here's how you can help:

Teachers: Your students can make valentines at school. We get tons of them from classrooms every year, and we'd love for you to join other teachers who've made it a tradition.

The same goes for Sunday school teachers, Brownie and Cub Scout troops, families, and individuals. The more valentines we receive, the more smiles we can create at the VA Hospital in Iowa City.

There are just a few rules to note:
Please do not use glitter as they can cause a mess in the hospital. Also, we ask that only your first or last name (not both) are written on the valentines. Finally, please do not include candy.

We have several locations where valentines can be dropped off, or you can send them to our studios as well. Here's that information:

Valentines for Vets are accepted at Wild Hogs Saloon & Eatery in Walford, any Billion Automotive location in Iowa City, and the KHAK studios. Valentines can also be sent to:

KHAK Valentines For Vets
425 2nd St. S.E.
4th Floor
Cedar Rapids, Iowa 52401

Please be sure to drop off your valentines or have them mailed so they arrive no later than the close-of-business Thursday, February 9. KHAK's Brain & Courtlin will then deliver them to veterans at the V.A. Hospital.

Thank you in advance! We've asked for your help at this time of year for decades, and we'll never stop.
