The album the started in all for Sam Hunt was a mixtape of 15 songs called 'Between the Pines'. He streamed it for free on his website back in 2013. That got the attention of record labels and Hunt was eventually signed to MCA Nashville in 2014. The mixtape that drew so many fans to Hunt's music was eventually taken down. Some of the songs turned up on his album 'Montevallo', while others were recorded by artists like Kenny Chesney and Billy Currington. Sam Hunts fans can rejoice because that early mixtape is back online!

'Between the Pines' is available for purchase on iTunes or to stream on Spotify beginning today. The songs aren't slickly produced tracks. Many are acoustic takes on songs you'll recognize. 'House Party', 'Leave the Night On' and 'Take Your Time' are there as well as a slew of other tunes you've never heard before. It's cool to go back and listen to Hunt's music at it's beginning. Call in 'country' or 'pop', he has a distinctive style that has been apparent from the start. For Sam Hunt fans, it's almost like an entirely new album to listen to. Whether you like the Sam Hunt songs you've heard on the radio, or you're hungry for new stuff, 'Between the Pines' will satisfy all.
