Runner Celebrates Too Early, Gets Passed at Finish Line [WATCH]

We've seen things like this happen before. A wide receiver in football celebrating a TD before he scores. A basketball player thinking they have a wide open lay-up. Then, a defender swoops out of no where to bat the ball away and ruin the play. This is the first time I've seen it happen in track and field. A runner from the University of Oregon was finishing a race. A race that he seemingly had won. He was even trying to get the crowd involved as he approached the finish line. He slowed his pace...and got passed by a runner from the University of Washington. Ouch. A tough lesson to learn, especially when you know so many people are watching. I'm guessing he'll run hard through every finish line he sees for the rest of his life!
