The season came to an end for the Cedar Rapids Roughriders Tuesday night as Bloomington won a decisive game five 5-2. A go-ahead shot that bounced off the leg of a Roughriders defenseman opened up the gates for Bloomington, who added two empty-net goals late to seal the win.

It was a tough way to end the year for a team the won the Anderson Cup for tallying the most regular season standing points. The Roughriders enjoying at 2-1 series lead going into this past weekend but lost a tough game four at Bloomington.

The Roughriders last won a playoff series in 2011, the only time they've won a series in the past nine seasons.
