Randy Houser – the big voice behind the outlaw love story "We Went" — has been going around the country surprising U.S. military veterans with gifts of appreciation lately. On May 14, he did it again, helping to keep one family fed for a whole year!

In partnership with Eckrich foods and Operation Homefront, Houser presented Army Corporal Aaron Woods with a gigantic certificate entitling his family to a whole year's worth of free groceries at their local Albertson's store — $260 per week for 52 weeks.

“Any time I can spend some time with a military family is special for me,” Houser said during the event, held while he was in Boise, Idaho, for a concert stop. “These families have sacrificed so much so I can go out and perform and do what I love. It was great to meet the Woods family, hear their story and have them enjoy the concert courtesy of my partner, Eckrich.”

In November of last year, Houser attended a ribbon-cutting ceremony in Maryland for a project that provides free housing for injured veterans while they transition back into civilian life, and later presented another family with the free grocery gift before also sending them on an all-expenses paid trip to Tuscon, Ariz.

“The men and women who serve this country, and their families, sacrifice so much to protect our freedom,” Houser remarked at the time. “It’s an honor to have the opportunity to show our appreciation and join Eckrich in supporting military families with Operation Homefront.”

The warmhearted singer will have plenty more opportunities to give back to deserving veterans this summer. He's got a jam packed tour schedule that takes him from Albuquerque, New Mexico, to Virginia Beach, Virginia, before joining Luke Bryan's much-anticipated Kick the Dust Up tour as an opening act.
