Racing Action Kicks Off For Area Tracks

Beautiful weather is forecasted for this weekend and it comes just in time for area racetracks opening up.

Friday night, the Farley Speedway is set to open the 2016 racing season with the IMCA Deery Brothers Summer Series Late Models. In addition to the IMCA Late Models, the IMCA Modifieds will also be in action on Friday night. Hot laps at 7 with racing to follow at 7:30.

Saturday Night, the Independence Motor Speedway starts off the 2016 racing season with two, $1,000 paydays. The Kastli Auctioneering IMCA Late Model Invitational and IMCA Modifieds main events each will award $1,000 top prize. Also racing Saturday night are IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA SportMods, and IMCA Hobby Stocks. Hot laps at 6:30 PM with racing to follow.

Sunday Night, the Benton County Speedway in Vinton kicks off their regular season. IMCA Modifieds, IMCA Stock Cars, IMCA SportMods, and IMCA Hobby Stocks are all running Sunday night. Hot laps at 5 with racing to follow.
