According to KCRG, "Procter and Gamble announced plans to shift product lines from its Iowa City plant, taking about 500 jobs out of the area with them."

The is very bad news for our friends in Iowa City that are employed by Procter and Gamble. These 500 jobs are part of the shampoo and body wash department. The lost jobs will be moving to a new plant in West Virginia.

The company has also announced they will be closing the plant in Kansas City. Those jobs, like the Iowa city jobs, will be moved to West Virginia.

We have no information at this time if the company is offering severance packages or the opportunity to move with the company. We will keep you posted on this story as soon as we learn more details.
