The transition of seasons from Winter to Spring in Iowa is a mixture of warm and cold, comfort and confusion.

Imagine being perfectly content on Saturday and freezing the next day. It happens all the time in Iowa between February and April.

It's almost as if winter simply doesn't have enough common sense to simply leave, and spring is too intimidated to storm right up to it's official start date - which occurs on Monday March 20, at 6:29 a.m. local time.

So these images are a gentle reminder to myself to be patient and try to appreciate the changing of the seasons as much as possible.
