If you're a stargazer, this could be the perfect weekend for you! Not only is the sky supposed to be clear on Saturday and Sunday night, but it also the peak of the Perseid Meteor Shower!

The Perseid Meteor shower is among the most viewed during the course of the year, In 2018 they will also be the best meteor shower to view. During their peak this weekend, you could expect to see between 60 and 70 per hour. But you could also get an outburst of meteors like in 2016, which could mean up to 200 per hour! Experts say that viewing the nights of August 11-12 and August 12-13 should both be spectacular!

The key, of course, is finding someplace dark enough to view the meteor shower. So head out to the country, sit on a blanket or bag char and let the show begin! The Perseid shower will be extra visible this year because of the moon. It will be a crescent shape which won't obscure your viewing! Happy star gazing!
