Pedestrian Killed In Cedar Rapids

According to CBS2, "Cedar Rapids police are investigating a deadly crash Tuesday night, killing a pedestrian on the southwest side of town." There are very few details to pass along, but here's what we know.

The accident happened around 11:40 p.m. on Tuesday night. A car struck a man in the 3200 block of 6th Street SW, in Cedar Rapids. The man was rushed to Mercy Medical Center and later died.

According to a release from the Cedar Rapids Police Department, 29-year-old Lavell Robinson, Jr. of Coralville was the man killed. The CBS2 story had no details about the driver of the automobile. We do know that police are not looking for a suspect. We will continue to follow this developing story and provide an update when we receive more information.
