Brett Moffitt had a career best finish on Sunday subing for Brian Vicker's at Atlanta. Moffitt was driving the #55 Aaron's 60th Anniversary Dream Machine and finished 8th after starting 22nd in the 500 mile race. This was a one race deal for Moffitt (age 22) who is a Michael Waltrip developmental driver. Moffitt started his racing career driving dirt modifieds in Central Iowa and is from Grimes, IA. There's no doubt he turned a lot of heads Sunday in the NASCAR garage. Jimmie Johnson was the race winner.

Michael Annett, who's orginally from Des Moines finished 29th on Sunday. Michael had to drive the #33 Chevy when his car was caught up in the long delayed NASCAR pre-race tech and was not able to qualify his #46 Chevy. A total of 13 cars never cleared NASCAR technical inspection in time to post a lap. Annett swapped seats with Brian Scott in the No. 33 Circle Sport Chevrolet.
Scott, a NASCAR XFINITY Series regular for Richard Childress Racing, is not competing for Sprint Cup driver points, making the switch much easier. Due to the driver swap, Annett and the No. 33 Circle Sport Chevrolet had to start at the rear of Sunday's 43-car field.

And Cedar Rapids own Landon Cassill broke a record and one that he would love to forget about. He became the first Driver to sweep last-place finishes in the first 2 races of the season. Cassill picked up the last-place finish when his #40 Snap Fitness Chevrolet fell out with engine failure after he completed 92 of the race's 325 laps. It's Cassill's second-consecutive Cup Series last-place finish as the motor blew at Daytona last weekend after 18 laps. Landon will hope for a much better finish next weekend when the teams heads to Las Vegas.
