It's almost here! The NewBo Music Festival presented by The National is this Saturday. We're getting pumped up and geared up for the show and want to make sure you have answers to all your questions before you join us at NewBo City Market on August 8th.

Here are the answers to some of the most frequently asked questions about the NewBo Music Festival presented by The National. If you have a question that isn't answered here, let us know and we'll update the post with all the answers!

When and where is the concert?
Saturday, August 8th at NewBo City Market. The show will be outside in front of the market. Doors open at noon.

How much are tickets and where can I purchase them?
General admission tickets are $35* and VIP tickets are $125* and are available online. Tickets will be available at the door, but prices will increase on the day of the show. If you bought your ticket prior to the show, remember to print it out and bring it with you! You can also show us your ticket on your phone.
*Plus applicable tax and fees.

What is included with the VIP ticket?
VIPs will have access to a reserved seating/standing area close to the stage as well as exclusive use of air-conditioned restrooms. The VIP ticket also includes a meal voucher and six drink tickets.

What's the deal with the $5 off coupon?
Save $5 on your ticket price by picking up a coupon at any area Hawkeye Convenience Store.

Is there an age limit for the show?
No, all ages will be allowed into the show. The only exception is that the VIP area is 21+.

Where do we park?
Parking will be available in the area. Park Cedar Rapids will have signs designating event parking areas.

When will doors open? What time does the show start?
Doors will open at noon and the concert begins approximately at 1:00 p.m.

What is the line-up? What time is each band going on stage?
Please note that stage times are subject to change.

2:05 p.m. - Full Body Tones
3:20 p.m. - Ripple Green
4:30 p.m. - Dickie
5:30 p.m. - MINT
7:00 p.m. - Allen Stone

Will alcohol be available?
Yes, Fleck Sales will have alcoholic beverages available for purchase for those adults 21+ with proper ID.

Can I take pictures?
Yes! You may bring a regular point-and-shoot camera or your phone to take photos. Professional-grade cameras, cameras with detachable lenses, and all video recording equipment will not be allowed into the show.

What can I bring into the show? What can't I bring?
Here's what's allowed:
Purses
Blankets and/or bagged lawn chairs
Cameras according to the policy above
Ponchos / rain coats, if weather dictates
Your printed ticket if you purchased your tickets beforehand, you will also be able to show us your ticket on your phone.

Outside food and beverage of any kind
Coolers and picnic baskets
Weapons
Firearms of any kind
Noisemakers
Professional cameras
Pets (Certified service animals are welcome)
Audio / video recording devices
Folding lawn chairs

In-line or roller skates, skateboards, scooters, bicycles

Will I be able to leave and come back?
No, for security reasons, once you are inside the festival area you will not be permitted to leave and re-enter. You will have access to NewBo City Market during their regular business hours and be able to move between the market and the festival area in front of the market.

Will NewBo City Market still be open?
Yes! You will be able to walk around, shop, and eat in the market during its normal business hours.

Will there be food and drinks available?
Yes! There will be several food vendors inside the festival area as well as the food vendors located inside the market during their normal business hours. Water, soda, and adult beverage stands will also be located in the festival area.

Do I need to bring money?
If you want to purchase food and drink or any band merchandise then you should bring money with you.

What do I need to have to get in?
You need to bring your printed ticket (or be able to show us your ticket on your phone), a photo ID if you intend to drink, and money if you plan on purchasing beverage tickets or any food items or band merchandise.

Is this event handicapped accessible?
Yes it is!
